NXNE Release Party

Although not an official style of beer, North By Northeast Vienna Kölsch is based on a Vienna Lager which is. The difference is in the yeast. A Kölsch is an ale which is fermented with ale yeast (saccharomyces cerevisiae) while lagers are fermented with lager yeast (saccharomyces pastorianus). The grain bill for NXNE consists almost entirely of light, clean Goldpils Vienna malt with just a hint of Caramel malt for a touch of sweetness and color. This is our ode to Grain Belt Nordeast.
